CUPPING & GUA SHA

Cupping

In this form of treatment, cupping glasses are used to create suction on the skin. The vacuum created in the cup gently pulls on the skin and thus stimulates the microcirculation of the blood and lymph under the cup.

Cupping produces an immuno-stimulating and analgesic (pain relieving) effects and deep muscle relaxation.

Gua Sha

Gua Sha is an ancient proven technique practiced in Eastern countries and TCM. The therapist uses a horn instrument to “scrape” small or large areas of the body. This scraping has a stimulating effect on the skin, increasing blood and lymph flow in the tissue, and invigorating the immune system.
